Steel frame lifted by overhead gantry crane in the BridgePro fabrication workshop, Latrobe

Prefabrication Precast & Steel

BridgePro has its own indoor precast and fabrication facility in Latrobe, with overhead gantries of up to 64 tonnes, producing high-quality components for infrastructure projects across Tasmania.

Making our own precast, steelwork and reinforcing means components are built to our programme, checked by our own engineers and installed by our own crews.

Precast & steel fabrication

Steelwork, precast and reinforcing cages made in Latrobe, backed by 150t+ cranes and 32t forklifts.

What we make:
  • Prestressed elements on a 36 m bed: bridge girders, double T beams and tank panels
  • Culverts and bases
  • Precast panels and retaining wall elements
  • Vertiblock retaining wall blocks, made under Australia’s first licence for the product from the USA
  • Structural steelwork and reinforcing cages

For the New Bridgewater Bridge we fabricated the temporary bridge superstructure steelwork and prestressed decks, 34-tonne precast pile caps and more than 5,000 tonnes of reinforcing cage. All steel for the award-winning Devonport 2 West Tug Berth Pontoon was also fabricated in-house.

Quality

Specialised precast manufacture is part of our ISO 9001 certified scope, and every pour and fabrication package is planned and checked by our own engineers.
