BridgePro Engineering is a leading Tasmanian contractor specialising in innovative and high-quality end-to-end solutions, from concept to construction.

Safety, Quality & Environment

Safety is tracked, not just claimed. Every BridgePro site reports into a live safety-performance system reviewed weekly against leading and lagging indicators and a zero-harm target.

BridgePro’s Integrated Management System is third-party certified to ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environment) and ISO 45001:2018 (safety) by DLCS International under JAS-ANZ accreditation, with a certified scope covering bridge and road construction, wharf and jetty construction, foundation piling, specialised precast manufacture and innovative engineering solutions. The same rigour earned BridgePro the 2023 WorkSafe Tasmania Award for Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety (Highly Commended).

Project risk registers and safe work method statements are prepared for every one of the 19 high-risk construction activities defined by WorkSafe Tasmania, with an environmental protection program tailored to each site before work starts. Certificates of currency for public and products liability, professional indemnity, workers compensation, plant and marine hull cover are available on request.

How we work safely

  • Safety at the point of work – every worker carries the BridgePro OS field app; See Say Do lets anyone raise a hazard, observation or near miss in under 60 seconds, pre-start checks are machine-specific and toolbox talk reminders trigger on sign-on
  • Every START card reviewed – OCR and AI read every card, score hazard identification quality and flag gaps back to site the same day
  • SWMS checked against the real method – each SWMS is tested against the specific rig, exclusion zones and lift interfaces before mobilisation, not a generic template
  • Subcontractor compliance, live – insurance, training and engagement status tracked in real time; a lapsing policy raises an alert before the subcontractor reaches site
  • Live safety dashboards – LTIFR, MTIFR, TRIFR and leading indicators reported from live site data and reviewed by every project manager and the leadership team each week
  • Temporary works certified in-house – falsework, formwork, access, lifting and marine temporary works designed, reviewed and certified by engineers on the National Engineering Register
  • Environment – spoil, casing, concrete, steel and packaging waste managed under our certified ISO 14001 system, with materials recycled or reused where practical; paperless site records cut paper use and site-to-office travel; fuel use tracked across the fleet
  • Local content – local suppliers, subcontractors and workforce engaged wherever practical, supporting Tasmanian Industry Participation Plan outcomes
