BridgePro Engineering is a leading Tasmanian contractor specialising in innovative and high-quality end-to-end solutions, from concept to construction.

Engineering & Design

We build the engineering behind the build. From early contractor involvement through to handover, BridgePro delivers structural, marine, temporary works, digital and construction engineering that is practical, buildable and integrated with the delivery team.

Engineering at BridgePro is led by professionally registered engineers who combine design responsibility with hands-on construction experience. Temporary works are designed, reviewed and certified in-house by engineers on the National Engineering Register, and with professional indemnity cover in place we can carry permanent and temporary works design responsibility. That often simplifies procurement and shortens lead times compared with separate designer and contractor arrangements.

Where a scope needs specialist input, third-party design or proof engineering, we work with long-standing external design partners: WGA, Verto, FSG Range, FSG Geotechnics and Foundations, Tasman Geotechnics and Pitt & Sherry. We deliver through early contractor involvement (ECI), design and construct, construct only, and collaborative contract models.

Our engineering approach

Technically sound, buildable and aligned to programme

We combine structural design, construction methodology and digital engineering so that every solution works on paper and on site. Working alongside clients, designers and stakeholders from the earliest stages, we understand construction constraints, sequencing and site conditions before they become risks.

What we engineer

  • Structural engineering – analysis, design, assessment and strengthening for bridges, marine structures, foundation piling and civil infrastructure, using SpaceGass, BricsCAD, Structural Toolkit and Autodesk tools
  • Marine engineering – barge stability assessments for crane operations, barge structural capacity verification, towage analysis and marine construction methodology, backed by our own marine fleet
  • Temporary works and method engineering – falsework and formwork, shoring, access and propping, lift studies and rigging design, piling and pile gates, subsea and marine works, and construction sequencing
  • Construction engineering – practical methodologies, staging strategies and constructability reviews grounded in how complex infrastructure is actually built
  • Digital engineering – FARO Orbis LiDAR scanning, a sonar-equipped underwater drone, BIM modelling in BricsCAD and Revit, Bentley Synchro 4D sequencing and reality capture to plus or minus 5 mm, producing a digital twin for maintenance and future works
  • Project lifecycle support – concept and feasibility, design and engineering, procurement and construction support, commissioning and handover, and inspection, repair and strengthening of existing assets

Digital engineering

Construction risk, found before it reaches site

BridgePro embeds digital technologies, data and intelligent models across project delivery, from planning and design through to construction. Combined with temporary works design and method planning, it lets clients understand construction risk early, improve constructability and reduce programme and cost risk.

4D construction planning

Bentley Synchro 4D links Microsoft Project schedules with 3D BIM models. The resulting simulations optimise sequencing, site logistics and resource use, and identify clashes and constructability issues before construction begins.

Digital capture and toolset

FARO OrbisIntegrated SLAM, RTK, LiDAR, photogrammetry and processing software for 3D scanning and mapping of complex site environments.
BricsCAD Ultimate3D BIM modelling and drafting platform used by every BridgePro engineer, producing coordinated models that feed construction planning.
CHASING underwater droneSonar-equipped drone that generates 3D scans of submerged structures, giving subsea inspection data without dive teams.
Reality captureProgressive as-constructed scanning to plus or minus 5 mm of reinforcement, cast-in items, piles and existing elements, overlaid into a single digital twin for maintenance and future works.

Temporary works and method engineering

Safe, efficient temporary structures, designed and certified in-house

Temporary works are designed and reviewed by our own engineers, recognised by Engineers Australia, with a focus on safety, reliability and constructability. Where a scope calls for it, design and proof engineering is undertaken with our external design partners.

Falsework and formworkStructural design of falsework and formwork systems for bridge and civil construction.
Shoring, access and proppingEngineered shoring systems, temporary propping and safe access solutions.
Heavy lifting and riggingLift studies, rigging design and site execution support for complex lifts.
Piling and pile gatesTemporary piling systems and pile gate design integrated with the permanent works methodology.
Subsea and marine worksBarge stability assessment, towage analysis and subsea temporary works engineering.
Construction sequencingStaging and methodology development that aligns engineering with programme and site constraints.
