We are currently seeking an experienced Finance & HR Officer to join our team & to assist in providing an accurate and efficient accounting and human resource service. You will possess strong teamwork skills and the ability to deal with competing deadlines. The position exists within a fast-paced environment and will require a “can-do” attitude.

The position is Full Time and will be based at our Head Office in Latrobe Tasmania.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Management of the Accounts email in-box emails & assist with accounts enquiries.
• Check the accuracy of information during data capture, identify discrepancies and correct charges, calculations and codes
• Ensuring processes are followed, updated and implemented.
• Manage Onboarding & Offboarding to ensure timely & accurate delivery of core HR processes.
• Coordinating Company corporate events & social initiatives
• Support the development & implementation of HR systems, policies & procedures
• Assisting with a range of other financial and HR duties.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Finance / HR assistant or similar role.
• Experience with Xero accounting software or similar accounting packages
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
• Ability to research and analyse data
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbal/written) at all levels
• Experience in the construction industry would be desirable but not essential
• Certificate IV in Accounting / Bookkeeping or Human Resource Management or higher would be desirable
