Margaret Street Sewer Diversion Project

The project team are utilising a specialised construction method to sink large, prefabricated segments deep underground. This method is particularly useful when site conditions do not allow for open excavation, ensuring smooth progress and minimal disruptions.

In April, we commenced the connection of the new diversion chamber to the existing pipeline network in collaboration with TasWater. This diversion chamber will significantly improve the flow of sewage and stormwater to the Margaret Street Pump Station and onward to the Ti Tree Bend Sewage Treatment Plant. The result? Better management of combined sewage and stormwater flows, especially during significant rain events.

As a company, we are thrilled to contribute to the development of a more efficient and resilient sewer system that will benefit the entire community. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our work on this important project!
