Inside BridgePro OS: how a START card gets read
5 November 2026
Every site worker carries the app. Every START card is read by software before a supervisor signs it. Here is what that looks like on an ordinary Tuesday.
BridgePro OS is the operating system we built for ourselves after deciding that off-the-shelf construction software did not fit an engineering-led, plant-heavy marine and bridge contractor. It connects safety, engineering, tendering, plant, HR and finance into one live platform.
On site, the field app is the single access point for safety-critical tasks. See Say Do lets any worker raise a hazard, observation or near miss in under 60 seconds. Pre-start checks are specific to the machine in front of the operator, toolbox talk reminders trigger on sign-on, and emergency contacts and site procedures are available offline.
Every START card is photographed and read by OCR and AI. The system identifies who took part, scores the quality of the hazard identification and flags gaps back to site the same day, and the results roll into the Daily Site Report with sign-on data, training status and outstanding actions. Before mobilisation, each SWMS is checked against the actual plant and method, so a piling SWMS is tested against the specific rig, exclusion zones and lift interfaces rather than a generic template.
Every AI output is labelled by its authority, from legal requirement to AI suggestion to verify, and a licensed engineer underwrites every delivery decision. The technology widens the net for catching problems; it never removes the accountable human. Safety KPIs are reviewed live at the weekly operations meeting by every project manager and the leadership team.
